CryptoSlate wMarket Update: Bitcoin, Ether lead top 10 assets gain as Shappella upgrade nears
The cryptocurrency market cap saw net inflows of $20 billion and currently stands at $1.19 trillion — up 1.28% from $1.17 trillion.
During the last 24 hours, Bitcoin and Ethereum’s market cap grew 1.64% and 1.44% to $540.26 billion and $224.14 billion, respectively.
Over the reporting period, the top 10 crypto assets recorded a positive performance, with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Dogecoin leading the gains.
Other digital assets recorded meager gains of less than 1% respectively.
The market caps of Tether (USDT) and USC Coin (USDC) increased to $80.24 billion and $32.58 billion, respectively. Meanwhile, Binance USD (BUSD) fell to $7.07 billion.
Bitcoin
In the last 24 hours, Bitcoin grew 1.48% to trade at $28,332 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance increased to 46.2% from 45.9%.
During the weekend, BTC mostly traded around $27,000 before reclaiming the $28,000 level on April 9. The digital asset keeps facing concerns over its liquidity levels.
Ethereum
Over the last 24 hours, Ethereum jumped 1.39% to trade at $1,861 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance fell to 18.9% from 19%.
During the weekend, Ethereum bottomed at $1827 as the community anticipated the Shappella upgrade scheduled for April 12. Crypto hedge founder Hal Press has advised some caution as the upgrade nears.
